The CSI Camera Set 5MP AR0521 Color enables the prototyping of machine vision applications and helps leveraging the advanced capabilities of Toradex SoMs to run deep neural networks, GPU accelerated OpenCV and other high-performance video applications. It uses the onsemi AR0521 color image sensor that features an integrated Image Signal Processor (ISP). The AR0521 image sensor is a low voltage, high-performance, 1/2.5” 5.1 megapixel CMOS sensor with a maximum resolution of 2592x1944 pixel and a rolling-shutter readout method. The CSI Camera Set 5MP AR0521 Color is physically compatible with the MIPI CSI-2 connector of several Toradex carrier boards (via an adapter PCB supplied as part of the kit) and can be connected to those using a 24-pin 0.5mm pitch FFC cable.
